JIS Group educational initiatives reaches to the community

Shri Debesh Das, Honourable Minister in Charge, Information Technology, Government of West Bengal expressed his anxiety about impending problem of skilled manpower in the IT sector at a seminar organised at Narula Institute of Technology on 18th November 2006. He also informed that several steps are being planned and are being implemented in phased manner by the government to arrest this situation. The aim is to take the opportunity to be come the third largest BPO hub in the world sustaining the current growth rate. The panel discussion was also attended by the Mr. Aloke Mukherjea, President, Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry, who stressed on the point weak English communication as prime factor from students of West Bengal to compete nationally and internationally. He felt that it is very important to express the domain skills correctly to make a successful career. Representatives from technical institutions urged the government to make a roadmap with cognisance with the academic policy bodies like AICTE, UGC and feedback from these institutions.
