At JIS Group educational initiatives we always believe a library is the seat of learning. A good library set-up not only helps the students to accentuate their academic knowledge and skills but also expose them to world of innumerable information to draw upon.

The information revolution means that escalating amounts of information are available to you for learning. To study you will use a mixture of printed books and journals and electronic materials. With around 500 reader-places, and collection of more than 80,000 volumes of subject specific books, spread over our seven college campuses, students have ample opportunity to prepare themselves. In addition the students have access to more than 50 printed journals, CDs, 120 online journals and databases.

Naturally, we seek to provide access to all books and articles recommended for courses which can be borrowed or used in the libraries. The JIS Group educational initiatives libraries are also institutional members of British Council Library.

Q How do I activate my library card?

A Bring your current JIS Group educational initiatives Identity Card to the Circulation Desk in any of the College Libraries. Our staff will register your card and give you a Library Card. We put a unique number on your Card and it becomes your library card.

You can use the Card in any point of library location.

Q How many libraries are there on campus and where are they?
A JIS Group educational initiatives has six libraries. Go to Library Departments for lots of information about each library as well as campus map locations.

Q The library is big! How do I find out where everything is?
A To help you find your way around the buildings and the collections held within, library facilities and orientation are offered by all the colleges of JIS Group educational initiatives.
