Q
What is the criteria to get scholarship?
A We use your academic and financial average (which is based
on your X, XII and/or Graduation average including prerequisities
as well as your family financial status) to determine the
value of your scholarship. We will let you know of your
eligibility for a scholarship when we send you a conditional
offer in writing based on your interim average.
Q If I received a scholarship, how
do I know when I'll receive the money?
A Your scholarship will be credited to your student account
just before the beginning of classes. You must be enrolled
in courses and have paid the the required deposit in order
to receive the fees book. If your scholarship is worth more
than the charges (e.g. tuition fees, hostel fees, etc.)
on your account, you will be issued a refund cheque. Refund
cheques are normally paid by the A/C department.
Q If I want to defer my offer of admission,
does my scholarship get deferred as well?
A Maybe. Requests for deferrals are not automatically granted.
You must submit your request for a deferral in writing.
When we receive your written request for a deferral of your
admission, we will review it (and any scholarships you've
been awarded) and advise of our decision in writing.
Q Why did I get a scholarship for
one program and not another?
A There are a couple of reasons. It might be because some
Faculties and programs offer very specific scholarships
for that Faculty or program only. Science and Engineering
is an example. It could also be that we used different courses
to calculate your average because you applied to more than
one program and they each have unique prerequisites.
Hints:
Apply
in confidence with all educational certificate, family income
prove, certificate from the concerned authority regarding
your poverty level etc., you might be eligible for. A lot
of students don't bother applying because they think their
chances are slim. This increases the odds for those that
do actually apply! Take care to fully complete the award
application and include all relevant documentation that
is asked for. Keep a copy of your application(s) for your
own records in case you need to refer back to it later.
Once submitted, you can't get it back.
